| Facilities and Manpower CEID is physically accomodated on the 2nd floor of Postgraduate Education Centre, Prince of Wales Hospital, Shatin. Here is where management support is provided through the CEID General Office. A Resource Suite is being planned to act as a clearinghouse of information on Emerging Infectious Diseases. |

| Laboratory facilities are located in other areas of the Chinese University Campus - Molecular Biology Laboratory on the second floor of Basic Medical Sciences Building, second floor of Hong Kong Institute of Biotechnology (HKIB) at the main campus, and at the Department of Microbiology on the first floor of Clinical Sciences Building, Prince of Wales Hospital.
New P3 facilities have been set up, which was named Lo Kwee Cheung Research Laboratory at a ceremony held on 12 May 2005. |

| CEID began with an interdisciplinary team of professional staff drawn from various departments of the Chinese University , and Prince of Wales Hospital. Core members were recruited subsequently. As of June 2005, there were five fulltime faculty members, 6 administrative staff at the Centre' s Secretariat, 21 Research staff. | |
